SOHA Transport Program
Last updated October 2026
These terms apply to every booking made for the SOHA Transport Program run by Shades of Hope Africa Ltd ("SOHA", "we"). The person making the booking ("you") must be the student's parent or legal guardian, or be authorized by them.
By completing a booking or payment you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
Each booking is for one student, on the route, trip and date(s) shown in the booking summary.
You must give accurate details for the student (full name, school and admission number) and for yourself (name, phone number and email). We use these to confirm the student's identity at pickup and to contact you about the trip.
A seat is confirmed only once payment has been received and you have a booking reference. Where a fare has not yet been published for a route, your booking is a request until we confirm the fare and you pay.
Fares are shown in Kenya Shillings (KES) per student, per one-way trip. A "Both ways" booking is charged for two trips.
Payments are processed securely by MauzoPay, mainly through M-Pesa. SOHA does not see or store your M-Pesa PIN or card details.
Your M-Pesa receipt and SOHA booking reference are your proof of payment. Please keep them until the trip is complete.
If you need to change or cancel a booking, contact SOHA with your booking reference as early as possible. We will do our best to move the booking to another date or route where seats are available.
Refunds for cancellations are considered case by case, taking into account how much notice was given and any costs already incurred for the trip.
If SOHA cancels a trip, we will offer an alternative date or a full refund of the fare for that trip.
Students should arrive at the agreed pickup point on time. Departure times are planned around school opening and closing schedules, and we will contact you about any change.
Students are expected to follow the driver's and SOHA staff's instructions, wear seat belts where provided, and behave respectfully. SOHA may contact you, and the school where appropriate, about serious misconduct.
Please tell us in advance about any medical needs, allergies or special assistance the student needs.
Students may carry their usual school luggage. Please label all items. SOHA takes reasonable care but is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings, except where caused by our negligence.
The safety and well-being of students is our first priority. We work with schools and parents to make sure students are handed over safely at both ends of the journey.
Delays caused by traffic, weather, road conditions or other events outside our control may happen. We will keep you informed and do our best to minimize disruption.
We use the details you give us only to manage the booking, contact you about the trip, confirm payment and improve the program. We share them only with the student's school where needed, and with our payment provider to process payment, in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.
For questions about these terms or a booking, contact Shades of Hope Africa Ltd, SOHA Restoration Center, Jambo, Karatina, Nyeri County, Kenya.
